What we do and how we do it so well

Tired of t-shirts that are uncomfortable and don't fit individual personalities, we were searching for something fresh and unique. We finally found what we were looking for but the brands that sold the clothing were high end, exclusive, and expensive. So, with this in mind, we made it our goal to solve this problem as well as others and create a high-end, exclusive, and inexpensive clothing brand that would cater to the consumer. Masculine, Feminine, Black, White, Purple, Green or whatever you want to call it, we are a little bit of everyone and everything. We represent hype beasts, sneaker heads, high society, the fashionable, the jocks, fixie fiends, the British, the world traveler, trend-setters, the consumer and whomever else you can think of. We are a little cocky and we have the vision, but to be in the business of making clothing you have to be a little out there. To put it in perspective...we are not out there, we are right here and we are right now.
Great personal style is made up of a certain percentage of "always" items and methods, mixed with a certain percentage of "sometimes" fashions, and a certain percentage of "nevers". -Scott Schuman

Sigg Jones

One of my premiere inspirations

What's Next?

I really like the idea of QR codes. For those of you who don't have an idea what they are, Hypebeast gave a pretty good definition. "Referred to as the barcode of the future, a QR Code (Quick Response Code) is a matrix code which allows its contents to be decoded at high speed." So in layman's terms, QR codes are a faster way to ring up and track merchandise. So why not embrace this new found technology as art? Well that is exactly what Takashi Murakami did and followed in hot pursuit by Marc Jacobs, with his version tittled “Miss Marc”. Just another way to incorporate fast paced marketing into something that is trivial to an American consumer, yet and exciting breakthrough to the Japanese market. Oh, how our worlds are different.

BEWARE OF PAW

The Coarse Toys figure was released Monday, June 29th at 10 am Hong Kong time at Coarse Toys online for $160 US. Unfortunately for us (us being the US), The paw! in the new Milky Bliss colorway (all white toy, pink accents, and blue eyes) is already sold out at the online store so it seems we will have to wait till it is available at the Taipei Toy Festival.

Let's just act like Transformers 2 never happened

Michael Bay, please just walk away from this with a little bit of knowledge that if a big company gives you money, you can not do whatever you want regarding a series with a story, time line, and a wide fan base. Don't even get me started on the blatantly racist characters!Just some advice for future adaptations just in case Hollywood goes "The Incredible Hulk" on this(for the fans sake I hope they do). So just in case, there are three things you should know: 1)In the first transformers, Optimus dies, dead, kaput. No magic dagger can bring him back to life, enter Rodimus Prime (Hot Rodimus). 2)Starscream is a really messed up power hungry lackey that eventually takes control of the Decepticons. 3) Transformers come in various colors. Just saying that there are some basic plot ideas you should probably explore.

I Try to find the Freshness

People get busy and we all understand that. It's hard to put up posts everyday and get to sleep at decent hours, but that's blogging for yah. Personally I hate to read websites and see post after post of videos. This is why I try to space the videos I post with at least two regular posts in between. I feel like that helps to keep a healthy blog readers diet of course with the addition of getting off your lazy ass and going outside. I'm sure some of you got tired of the MVP Kobe and Lebron videos which were absolutely entertaining at first but then got dragged on to a sixth season of sorts. This is why I stopped after...I dont know video six or so. It is just the same old same thing and that is not what we set out to do. I blog to bring you that new new. That freshness as if you bite into an apple and the juice runs from your lips (can you tell I get hungry at night). To get to my point, now i bring you two videos that incorporate the not so late, but oh so great Kanye.

The first vid come from Night Club as they cover “Good Life” off of Kanye's 3rd album Graduation. I really like this cover because instead of compltetely messing up the tempo of the song or throwing off the feel of the tune by making it "rock", Night Club decided to just slow down the beat and add some eerie samples in order to achieve a very desired musical effect.

Second comes the video adaptation of Robocop from Kanye's 4th album 808's and Heartbreak. This video reminds me so much of my child hood and the video games that are still heralded as the best (megaman 2 and Battletoads), it just has to take you back, way back. Either way, well done Mykola Dosenko. You may recognize the style from the opener of the recent Maestro Knows videos. Check it out in HD!

Reebok 7 Deadly Sins

Pride

7 deadly sins means 7 deadly shoes. I love the idea of releasing a pack of sneakers modeled after the 7 deadly sins and their colors because it allows for a variety and choice. The fact that they choose Reebok Pump Omni Lite (hold on, let me pump it up) just makes this so much iller. Plus each shoes come with a silver lace clip that reads the sin the shoe represents. The one thing I find interesting that all other sources I have read have failed to mention is that Pride is used twice (Blue and Purple) and have failed to use Lust as one of their themes. You would think another site would have caught this or even Reebok would have thought this through before releasing the images, but I have read nothing of it. Hopefully they read this post or have already seen this in time to call back the shoes beacuase nothing is more embarassing than basing a shoe off of a well known topic and then for getting the one that will make us buy your kicks (not trying to be too critical Reebok, much respect). Succumb to your deepest desire here.

Diet Butcher Slim Skin Fall 2009

The Japanese are no longer slowly, but invading the American fashion sense with such vigor and force that the line is now blurred. East is West and fashion is fashion. It has even been noted by the New York Times in their recent article The All-American Back From Japan. Diet Butcher is no different, offering footwear, jeans, and outerwear that seemingly blend into the American style. Not to mention the use of bird heads in their preview for the falls look. Subtlety is the name of the game.

Believe It

Once again, throwing some love here to the boys over at Third Eye Blind. I saw them in concert earlier this week at the Roseland Ballroom in NYC, and, needless to say, minds were blown. A 4 song encore was hardly enough for us bloodthirsty fans, and Stephan finally indulged us and played his new single, "Don't Believe a Word" off his upcoming August release, (no relation) "Ursa Major". Now, the song seemed like it was missing a little something to most people in the audience, Im sure, and here it is. The winner of the 3eb's official "DBAW Remix contest", David Marion, put together a jam that the world needs to hear. Here's the link to the mp3 of "Don't Believe a Word (Groove Mix)" Listen and learn.

She was eatin, she was eatin

This song, which I overheard while perusing shirts at a local shop, needs to be heard to be understood. Or at least, partially grasped. Just watch.

The question on everyone's mind is undoubtedly, where is this Burger King where 2 cheeseburgers, onion rings, a chocolate shake, a side of fries, and apple pies are only 10 dollars?? UMi Research will get on this promptly and report our findings.

Kid Cudi vs. Crookers - Day 'n' Night

No longer do you have to stare at a sneaker, to listen to this great mix. Kid Cudi and his Stoner Charm have made a video for his mix with Crookers, and may I say it is one of the most enjoyable videos I have seen...period! It seems that weed + work at a mundane job = lots of fun and the possibility of getting fired.

Back to the Future, like Marty McFly

The third sneaker to be influence by the pair of sneakers worn by Marty McFly in Back to the Future, the Nike Hypermax NFW (no flywire as seen in the Hyperdunk) will feature a “grey base, speckled midsole, light blue highlights, and pink accents.” Oh and I forgot to mention that the sole will glow.

Birdy Nam Nam - The Parachute Ending

Of course they come from France, where else would they come from with a name like that and a sound so unique. Birdy Nam Nam is a group of four DJs comprising of Crazy-B, DJ Pone, DJ Need and Little Mike. Along with Will Sweeney, they have created an animated video on the level of Daft Punk. Oh how I miss videos like this, and did I fail to metion the tentacles. You will understand once you see it.

Air Yeezy Paper Craft

Paper craft is a really interesting art. Its analogous to pop art or is it defined by pop art, not really sure. Either way, it makes me wish more and more that I were a paper boy (not the hit game, but an actual boy made of paper). That is if and only if I could get my hands on a pair of the paper Air Yeezy's. Like TK said, "that dog could sell Air Yeezy's"

The Odd Couple: Lil Dez (Part 6 & 7)

The Godfather Figure

Here are some pics of one of the most anticipated vinyl figures to be made by Michael Lau. You may recognize the name Micahel Lau as the creator of the most iconic vinyl series to date, The Gardeners. This figure will be 8 inches tall (over 12 inches with the marionette) and will be the first collectible figure released as part of MINDstyle’s art toy collectibles line. The colorway seen here is the original and two other versions will be release at the “Family Tradition” art exhibition by Ron English in LA at the De la Barracuda store.

The Odd Couple: Car Jump (Part 5)

Vans + Rick Griffin

The Vans slip-on shoe collaborations have been on the most part very good. Personally I'm a fan of the shoe and I am wearing my pair right now. Needless to say the shoe is notoriously comfortable and always an easy choice. The black goes with almost every outfit, so seeing a pair in black canvas featuring the graphics of Rick Griffin on the upper with going overboard is definitely a plus.
